Kickass Mac App

Scott showed me an application made by the same guy who did Quicksilver. It’s called Nocturne. It allows you to invert your Mac OS X display for use in dark environments.

You might say, “Ya, but OS X already does that in Universal Access.” Yes, but nocturne takes it a step farther. With Nocturne, you can turn off shadows, make the screen monochrome (hotness), and re-invert the hues so the colors are correct, but just darker. But beyond that, the sweetness is in the light sensors on Powerbooks and MacBooks (Pro). You can configure the app to automatically switch to night mode in dark situations.

The program is available here and is totally free. Enjoy.
