My Computers

Over time, I’ve accumulated a bunch of computers, and like every good geek, I chose a naming convention for them: Stars.

These are all the machines that I currently own or administer.

My Computers

* I just sold my Powerbook G4 to my mother, but I kept the machine name for myself and intend to use it for my future MacBook Pro (whenever Jobsy decides to release new ones)

Regarding Astra: I know that it isn’t a star name…it was the first machine that I used the naming convention for and I didn’t feel like going to the trouble to change it.

My next major machine, likely a nice linux server, will be named Vega.

  1. Luis Olmos says:

sold it to your ma? shame on you. You should buy her a new macbook! Love the naming convention. I call mine quirkier silly names. EG Tangy, madame LePosh, Bucephallus Bouncing Ball, Hydra.
Where abouts in Seattle do you live? Great town really miss it.

  2. Jonathan says:

She didn’t really need the power of a MacBook, so this was a cheaper alternative. She loves it so far.

I live on the eastside, but I do enjoy going into the city every so often.

Have your say
